Fun at the lake!

This weekend we got to spend the evening at Payson Lakes. We did a little Barbecuing and a little fishing. We are good at the barbecuing, the fishing............ not so much.

Hayden kept saying, "come daddy the people next to us have caught some fish, why can't we?"
Truth is Hayden, we just don't have the luck when it comes to fishing!! We sure have fun pretending though.

Well, Maybe it is because they are using a pole and not a stick.
The kids thought they were for sure going to catch something with their long pointed sticks.

Put me on my tummy......

Put me on my tummy and watch me roll.

I'm doing it...... almost there!
DID IT!!!!
Ty is extremely happy with his accomplishment!!
Nothing but Smiles, most of the time.

Fathers Day Adventures!

With this weekend being Fathers Day we let Daddy decide what he wanted to do. First choice was to go camping, 2nd choice was to go 4-wheeling for the day. I gladly went with the second choice. We loaded up the barbecue and bikes and headed for "Little Moab" out East of Elberta.

Daddy grilled up some really good Carne Asada.

Hayden loves riding his bike on the little bunny hills and any mud puddle he can find.

At camp Raul found that someone had left behind there rock climbing/repelling equipment. It was all hooked up and ready to go. He tested it and decided, "why not". I had plenty of reasons "why not". No experience being one.
Well, he found that he loved Rock Climbing and went up and down the hillside all afternoon.

While riding, Raul found a snake in the middle of the road. He could not resist, he had to pick him up and come back to camp to show everyone. The kids immediately assumed he were taking him home with us. I said absolutely not. They were lucky enough to have "buster". Well, the kids started crying when I told daddy to take the snake back where he found it. I found myself getting into a long discussion about how daddy had taken the snake away from his family and they would be sad with out him. Then daddy just had to add that he did look identical to "buster" and that it must be his older brother. That means his family is already at our home. This did not help! Needless to say, I gave daddy the eye and away he went to take this long ugly thing back where he came from!
This weekend was filled with one adventure to the next.
Hope you had a great Fathers Day!
Thanks for being the Best Daddy!

Are You Serious!!!

"Are you Serious" , Those were the words that came out of my sweet wifes's mouth, when Hayden and I brought this uninvited pet into our home. We sure had to do a lot of sweet talking to keep Buster (the snake) around. He currently has no choice but to stay next to the Honda Accord in the garage. Buster better hope that he and my wife can become friends or it'll be a long cold winter in the garage!!
We sure love and appreciate everything that my wife does for us and puts up with (I'm trying to help you out here Buster).
We have had Buster now for a couple of months he is a fun pet and the kids sure enjoy him, Hayden especially. Hayden just had to have a snake and their was no giving up. They really do make great and easy pets. Thanks TK.

These are the days.......

These are the days I will remember forever. This summer is different from any other summer I have had since being a mother. Most summers I am working full time and the kids are in daycare. This year, with work being so slow I have been able to spend each day with my kids. I am loving it. Money is tight, but worth it. Staying at home with the kids is a hard job. For those of you mothers that do.... don't let anyone tell you your job is easy. I have been on both sides of the fence. I am positive that most of the days I spent in the office were a lot less exhausting. But it is the moments like when Aunika yells "mom", and you just know she is going to ask for more milk in her sippy cup for the 100 th time today, and instead she peeks her head around the corner and says, "I love you". These are the moments out of the day that make all the confusion, noise, fighting and teasing a "reward".
Life is great!

The "good" things my mother taught me.....

One things for sure.... my mom knows flowers.
I am just loving my flowers this year. I know I must be bragging,
but I must say my mom taught me well when it came to planting.
I love to spend time out in the yard. I am lucky enough that Raul does too!
Mom and Dad thanks again for the flowers. And thank you Trudi for giving them tender loving care since January!

Ty's Blessing

This last weekend we blessed Ty. He is such a blessing in our lives. We are so grateful that we have this special little boy. He brings so much joy and happiness to our home.

It was a special day for us. We are truly grateful for the Priesthood in our home.

Ty is one part Hayden and one part Aunika. The little tounge you see sticking out on the picture above... that is Hayden. They both inherited it from the Ferguson side. So Cute!!

Take me out to the ball game!!!

Hayden had his 1st T-ball game tonight! It was fun! I am hoping he will love the game as much as he loved playing soccer. He has played soccer the last two years and done wonderful! For being so shy, it is so surprising at how alive Hayden becomes once he steps out onto the field (the soccer field that is). He was a little uneasy or nervous you could say for his 1st game tonight. He spent a lot of time looking back at me and his dad to get that reassurance that he was doing okay. He said his favorite position so far is playing catcher.

First time up to bat in front of a crowd!

Aunika spends most her time running around the ball park making new friends young and old.

The Grotto

This weekend the family hiked to the Grotto. This is a family favorite! We seem to do this at least twice a year.
The kids loved to wade their feet in the freezing cold water.
